Paperclay Owls

On the Last post I started playing with Paperclay, since then I have completed these three small Owl sculptures (each of them is 3 to 4 Inches high) :

This one is Leroy the Forest Activist

This is Limon a guardian of the forest

and this is Naranjin, also a guardian of the forest.

If  you want to take one of them home, you can find them HERE, you can display them any where in your home / office or can use them as cake toppers on your next woodland theme party.

PaperClay

Is been a while since my last post, but I am back now. This week I find out about paperclay and I am working on a few pieces. It does take a long time to dry but they are looking good so far. Here is a little preview ( they still drying and it will take about a day or two before they are ready to be painted).

DUCKS, DUCKS, DUCKS

I recently made these art dolls ducks for a school project. Here are some photos:

The ducks are made with burlap fabric that was glue to a wire frame structure that I made with wire mesh.

The Pink-Head Ducks are a critical endangered species, but some experts beleive they are totally extinct already. One of the interesting facts about this specie is that their eggs are/were nearly spherical shaped.

Is a shame that such beautiful animals have to disappear from this planet because of all the global warming that we contribute to create.

Screenprinting Owls

After a long week of Midterms at school I finally I had some time available to do some hand screen printing at home. I printed these owl images on wool fabric that I plan to turn into drawstrings bags that I will have available in my shop later during the week. Here are a few photos:

I also worked all day on this custom ordered owl mobile :)
